Frequently asked questions

How do I get started with Bluepic?

Sign up for free at studio.bluepic.io, no installation or onboarding required. You can immediately start creating graphic templates in the Template Builder, configure input fields, and publish your Design Generators. You can also book a demo with the Bluepic team here.

How long does it take to set up a campaign?

The duration depends on the complexity of your graphic templates. If you use an existing preset, your Design Generator can be published in just a few minutes. Building a custom template from scratch in the Template Builder typically takes 30 to 60 minutes. However, this depends heavily on your experience with design software. Once the graphic template is ready, publishing it as a Design Generator or Design Toolkit takes just a few clicks.

What does "published" mean?

A graphic template that you create in the Template Builder is initially only visible to you. "Publishing" means you release the graphic template as a Design Generator. From that moment on, the generator is accessible via a URL or can be embedded as a widget. The users of the Design Generator can then use the generator to create and download graphics. You can deactivate a published generator at any time. To update or make changes to a graphic template, you do not need to deactivate the Design Generator. The update is applied to the generator immediately after saving.

How do I embed a Design Generator on my website?

Bluepic provides an embeddable Website Widget. In Bluepic Studio, you generate an iframe code snippet for any Design Generator and paste it into your website's HTML. Your website visitors can then create their graphics without leaving your site. Both widgets and galleries can be embedded. Usage on your website is tracked in our Analytics Dashboard.

Does Bluepic offer an API?

Yes, Bluepic has an API for programmatic image generation. You can trigger design creation via API call, for example, to automatically generate personalized event graphics from a system or CRM. API calls are metered separately from credits. Different usage limits apply depending on your plan. You can find more details here in the plan comparison.

What integrations does Bluepic support?

Bluepic supports connecting an image cloud of your choice. For Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, and Pexels, we've simplified the integration. Design generators can be embedded on any website via iframe widget. API-based workflows enable connections to CRMs, registration platforms, email tools, or any system that can send HTTP requests. The Design Generator also offers the option to connect with LinkedIn or another popular social media platform and import a users profile picture, name, etc. directly into the Design Generator. Finished graphics can then also be published directly on the connected social media account's platform.

Can I use a custom domain (white label)?

Yes, Custom Domains (CNAME) allow you to publish Design Generators under your own domain instead of template.bluepic.io. If you're interested, please get in touch with us here.

What are Organization-Wide Presets?

Organization-Wide Presets are reserved for ENTERPRISE organizations and allow you to save created graphic templates as presets. These saved presets are then available to all users in your enterprise organization. These presets can be selected in the "Create Template" dialog and further edited by an individual user into a new graphic template.

Can I import and export graphic templates?

Importing and exporting graphic templates is reserved for enterprise organizations. Template Import & Export enables the transfer of graphic templates between Bluepic accounts or backing them up outside the Bluepic application.

Is Bluepic GDPR compliant?

Yes. Bluepic is operated by FellowBlue GmbH, headquartered in Cologne, Germany. The platform is fully GDPR compliant. End users do not need tracking cookies to use Design Generators.

What browsers and devices are supported?

Bluepic Studio and all Design Generators run in modern web browsers. No app installation is required. Both template creation (Template Builder) and the use of Design Generators work on desktop devices. Design Generators are also optimized for mobile devices.

Is Bluepic available in multiple languages?

Bluepic Studio is currently available in English. However, your Design Generators work in any language. You can define all labels and descriptions of input fields yourself, in the language of your choice. Bluepic can render text in all character sets, for example, Latin, Arabic, Chinese, and more.

How does the Analytics Dashboard work?

The Analytics Dashboard shows you how your Design Generators are being used. You can see the number of downloaded designs, which graphic templates are most popular, how usage develops over time, and gain insights into posting activity on LinkedIn.

What file formats and sizes can I export?

Design Generators export graphics as PNG, JPEG, or GIF files. The size of the exported graphic is determined by the graphic template. You set the dimensions when creating the template in the Template Builder. Common formats include LinkedIn posts (1200×1200 px), Instagram stories (1080×1920 px), website banners (120×600 px), or email signature banners (600×150 px).

What is the Batch Editor?

The Batch Editor allows you to create multiple designs at once, either through manual input or by uploading a spreadsheet as a CSV file. For example, you could upload a list of 200 exhibitors and automatically generate a personalized LinkedIn graphic for each one in a single batch.
